David Goldman 2023 Boston Marathon

Tax deductible
On April 17, I will run the Boston Marathon in honor of Boston Police Sergeant, Dennis “DJ” Simmonds. DJ was a fearless and dedicated Boston Police officer who lost his life in the line of duty after the takedown of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombers. 10 years later, I am honored to further his legacy as a hero. I have deep roots in the 02368 and DJ and I share the die-hard passion of being a Blue Devil student-athlete. In 1991, I was the Massachusetts Division 1 State Wrestling Champion. I am proud to be in the Randolph Athletic Hall of Fame and on the team of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. To carry on DJ’s legacy as a hero, I am raising funds for the Dennis “DJ” Simmonds Unsung Hero Foundation. This nonprofit was founded by DJ’s sister, Nicole, to support young people who share a lived experience with DJ. This charity provides Randolph students with academic scholarships, while creating access to activities and experiences that will amplify their future. The foundation focuses to align community resources to uphold the strength, reputation, and legacy of DJ’s hometown of Randolph, MA. If you feel moved, please donate to this great cause.
