David Giese's Medical Fund
My brother, David Giese, had to stop working in January when he was diagnosed with bullous pemphigoid. At that time, he was hospitalized for a week. Shortly after being released from this initial hospitalization, he was returned to the hospital and was diagnosed with lupus. He was in the hospital for over eight weeks, one of those weeks being spent in the ICU. He is being treated from the effects of this disease. He will shortly (we hope) be transferred to a care center for physical rehab and will be there for two to four weeks, maybe longer.
His wife continues to work at two part-time jobs and travels two hours each way several days a week to see David in the hospital. Travel time will be reduced to one hour each way when he is in the care center.
Unfortunately, their health insurance - with high monthly premiums - pays minimally on the hospital bills, tests, rehab, etc.
Any help with medical costs, travel expenses, monthly expenses, etc. is greatly appreciated.
