On 9/16/20 David was in ICU with extremely high Blood Pressure and low pulse. Doctors worked on meds to bring down BP while running multiple test. The test all came back fine including his heart? They then proceeded to doing imaging. This showed the problem.. David has had a previous neck fusion that has failed. This is causing extreme pain that's raising his blood pressure to stroke levels. This failed neck fusion also has failed hare ware. He has a screw that has came out and his lodged in his esophagus causing damage. He has another screw that is working it's way out also. This is the first case study of this kind and his team of doctors are working on the right action plan for surgery with other doctors around the world. He has been out of work pending major surgery since 9/16/20. The surgery will be major and be 8 hours long if their is no complications and several days in hospital. The recovery time is 2 to 4 months from surgery date that he will be out of work. The funds will be used for medical expenses during his time off of work. (Copay for surgery is needed at time of surgery date and with us having major medical prior we were already struggling)
Prior to this event I his wife, Leigh Ann became disabled in 12/28/16 with the world's rarest immunology disease NK Cell Deficiency (Boy in the Bubble disease) also Sjogren's syndrome with organ effects and multiple other illnesses. Which there is currently no cure for any of them. Our youngest son has the same genetic diseases. The two of us have been for the past few years in doctors weekly with increasing medical expenses.
David is our rock.. he worked hard every day to provide for us without any complaints and made sure we were taken care of in every aspect. He is also the first person to help any one else in need and has never expected anything in return. He has a very kind and caring soul. He has been a leader in our community over the years helping out Angleton Little League and kids keeping them in baseball and in he right direction in life. These kids are now grown and have made great choices. We often run into them and they thank David for what he instilled in their lives. I am asking that you please help us rebuild our rock.
Please send prayers and help any way that you are able to and also share this on your social media pages.
Thank you, The Fowler Family
