David Fougere

Dear friends,

I am starting this gofundme fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Nicole Fougere. This morning, Nicole learned that her father David Fougere had passed away, peacefully though unexpectedly, just a few days after settling into his new home outside of Corner Brook, Nfld.

David lived a simple life, and had simple needs, and Nicole is grateful that he passed without suffering. We are welcoming support to help Nicole pay for funeral expenses which are expected to be more than $4,000. As well, the support will help Nicole cover debts related to David's recent time in Corner Brook. Nicole would like to thank her Uncle Fred and her Uncle Ross for their generous support during David's relocation - they helped immensely, and yet there are still expenses to pay. Our goal is to raise $5,000. Any amount is welcome. Any funds not required for the funeral and other expenses will be donated to an arts charity.

Friends, you may already be familiar with David's beautiful music and story telling. This morning after connecting with Nicole I went looking for his music online, and I was reminded about a story David used to tell about the day he drove Nicole into Toronto for her Toronto Dance Theatre School audition. It's the first track on his sound cloud channel - Busking with God.
