my grandpa has spent the last 40 plus days in the hospital fighting, but he is tired.Today he will be put on comfort care. He was my best friend and like my dad to me and many others. he would have given the shirt off his back even if it meant he would be sunburned.there are so many words to describe the man he was. it is truly a loss to everyone who loves him and It breaks my heart to lose someone who is my heart. I know he has had a long wild life and we just want him at peace with no pain or illnes. he deserves peace. he told me "stay strong and quit your blubbering" I truly am trying. ❤️ I'm asking for help with cremation and urn costs. and a service will be held with time and date to be announced. please share any stories or memories or pictures you may have with him below. he will be missed by so so many people.

A message from his daughter, Lyndsey:

The passing of my father has left an unimaginable hole in my heart. I am forever grateful for the time that I did have with him, however brief it was! The small moments I will remember always. The one of a kind laugh that he had and his joy in the small moments is a reminder that we all need to slow down and enjoy life. The joy in his eyes when I was able to tell him all that I have accomplished since we last spoke is forever etched in my mind and heart. The smile and twinkle of his eyes when he saw the photographs of my children will be with me forever. I miss him deeply and wish that time had been kinder to us and allowed us the opportunity to know each other better and to develop a stronger relationship. However, we cannot change the past and the memories of him will have to last me until I see him again.
