David Enriquez Mark Twain School Fundraiser

Our Son-shine, David Arturo Enriquez passed away on May 31st, 2023.

We ask that in Lieu of Flowers, people consider donating to a field trip fundraiser in David's name at Mark Twain School for children with physical and developmental disabilities.

When David attended Mark Twain School, his favorite thing to do was go on field trips. At first glance, people might be taken aback by David's appearance, but when getting to know him, it was impossible not to fall in love with him. That is why field trips are so important not only to the children at Mark Twain School but to the community as a whole. When David got to go on field trips, he got to experience the community, and the community got to experience and get to know him.

We want to make sure that more children get to experience the joy that David did when he went on field trips and we want to make sure that our community gets to have exposure to people and children like David so that we can learn to love and accept each other.

If you are more comfortable donating directly to the school, You may write a check made out to Mark Twain School to the attention of Vickie Hawkins. Mail to 11802 Loara Street Garden Grove, CA 92840. Mark Twain School is a 501c3 charity, so donations made directly to the school are tax-deductible.

We couldn't think of a more fitting way to honor David's memory.

100% of proceeds collected through this go fund me will be directed to community-based outreach at Mark Twain School.

Mass services will be held on June 17, 2023 at 12 PM at St. Polycarp Church in Stanton, CA. A livestream will be available through Facebook for those that cannot be present in person. A reception will follow, held at the Enriquez Family home.
