David Elmore needs our help! Time is of the essence!

Hey friends. Many of you may know this special dude. Or you may recognize him as one of our talented volunteer photographers that helped capture the HemlockFest experience year after year driving from Virginia or Texas.

David Elmore has been a dear friend of mine since our high school years here in Ga. Dave is one of the genuinely kindest and most inclusive humans I know.

Dave has recently been diagnosed with a level 4 glioblastoma, the most aggressive type of brain cancer. He immediately had a golf ball size tumor removed but this type generally sends out fingers that are not able to be addressed easily. He is facing decisions on radiation and chemo and whether or not this step will make enough of a difference.

Dave has been working security for Austin City Limits. He has loved this job, but has now lost much of his vision and currently has no income avenue.

He is exploring getting access to his social security early due to his severely shortened life prospect. The median survival time for this type of brain cancer is 15 months.

Dave has a 22 yr old son and a 19 yr old daughter. He lives in an apartment in Austin Texas with his girlfriend (Ashley), a bar tender also at ACL. He has so many new realities to navigate. One of those is not being able to contribute to his living expenses (rent, bills, groceries).

My hope with this fund raiser is to help alleviate the stress of living expenses while he figures his end game. This is a serious and prompt need.

I ask that if you have the ability to contribute towards alleviating this one stressful aspect of his devastating circumstance.. please please do..

I realize this is the first most of you are hearing about dave's situation. It is very new and moving very quickly. Im sorry it is through this media and in the form of a request.. but i desperately needed to get this started for his immediate benefit.
