I am Dave’s sister Kami and it is on my heart to allow his village to support and encourage him as he begins this fight. I want to provide his friends and family a way to support him through the next few months as he begins Chemotherapy for stage 3 colon cancer. Some know he had a colonoscopy where they discovered the cancer and on February 16 had part of the colon removed to take out the cancer and test lymph nodes. The pathology revealed stage 3 cancer in nearby lymph nodes and requires chemo.
Dave has remained upbeat and positive through this process, he is always the ultimate jokester and keeps everyone else’s spirits up around him.
I have personally seen God’s provision for him by placing medical staff (love you Meg), new insurance policy, and short term disability assistance. ❤️ 2Corinthians 1:4 ❤️ His girlfriend Tina and her son Samuel have been a great support and by his side through this. ❤️
I know he has concerns about the accumulating medical bills and other unknown bills that will arise while he is out of work so I want to provide an opportunity for those who can to help. This will alleviate that extra stress for him and allow him to focus on his health. He wants to return to work but knows from speaking with others chemo will be a rollercoaster and everyone’s experience is different.
Ways to help and pray for his needs to be met:
1.Prayer Warriors for Gods healing and strength (chemo begins March 13 and will be every other week with Monday infusion)
2. Donations to his medical bills- gofundme Venmo-/ grocery cards
4. grass cut bi weekly (church group or lawn care provider)
5. home cleaning/sanitizing every 2 weeks (if anyone has any recommendations)
6. notes of encouragement/phone calls (limited visits with his limited immunity)
