My dad, David Clodfelter, has been in the ICU for the last 8 days, making a slow recovery from cardiogenic shock.
He was stable enough to be downgraded to a non-ICU floor yesterday, and we're waiting for an additional procedure early next week to help clarify the full picture and a timeline for release.
Regardless, the business my father has run for 30+ years requires daily physical labor that we aren't sure when he'll be able to return to, if ever.
Everyone deserves to be able to recover from a major medical crisis without also worrying about being evicted, having utilities shut off, or drowning in medical bills.
So much of what I know about community care and kindness for others I learned from my dad, who is relentlessly generous, giving, and supportive.
Any amount here helps, and if you can't give, sharing this fundraiser is hugely appreciated, as always.
