My name is David Chang, and on Sunday, December 14, my life changed suddenly and dramatically.

I was admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure. After extensive testing, doctors discovered that my heart is currently functioning at only 15%. I also underwent a heart catheterization, where doctors found that I had suffered a heart attack approximately a month prior, without even knowing it.

Unfortunately, at the time of my hospitalization, I was uninsured. We simply could not afford coverage. As a result, my medical bills have already exceeded $42,609.21, and additional expenses are expected as my treatment and recovery continue.

Doctors have been very clear that I cannot perform strenuous work, as my heart cannot handle the stress. This has made it impossible for me to work as I once did, and the road to recovery is long and uncertain. At this time, doctors are not sure what the future will look like for my health or my ability to return to work.

We are asking for help to cover hospital and medical bills during my initial admittance.

More importantly, we ask for your prayers. My family and I are placing our hope and trust solely in Jesus Christ as we walk through this difficult season.
