It is with much sadness that myself and my family have to announce the passing of my husband David Cabuzet on the 27/09/25.

David died in his sleep, to say the least this was a complete unexpected shock to us all.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He had a passion for music, and was a Leeds united supporter.

He worked for many years at Serco and Sita in Haywards Heath so is known to so many local people and has made many friends over the years.

I am a very proud person and would hesitate to ask anyone for help. Anyone that knows me personally will verify that.

David left this world without putting anything in place such as life insurance.

He had not worked for the last 3 years because of his declining health problems.

He was appealing a pip claim for 18 months.

I myself only work part time as I had become David's carer, I do not receive any benefits due to the benefits system failing me and being so long and drawn out to claim.

David was a man of simple taste and he would not want to have a great big funeral just a simple send off.

My heart is broken, I have lost my soul mate after 24 years of marriage and this is my last resort to give our family closure.

The quote from the funeral directors is £2,200 and I am hoping that with the help of wonderful people I can give him the send off he deserves.
