David Burch II
22 veterans commit suicide each day.
Our family is now included is 1 of those 22.
Many friends and family members have reached out to us asking if any help is needed. Any contribution towards his funeral and celebration of life is helpful. Everything after expenses will be donated to a veteran suicide/mental health organization.
Although we are glad the military is helping with the expenses for the burial, we are left with the rest. Cremation, cleaning, celebration, etc.
Even if you're unable to donate, as we understand the difficult times, a simple prayer for my family's heartache is much appreciated.
David was big hearted, made you laugh harder than you could imagine, and truly was a hero. Through this journey I realized, even more, how much of an impact he had on everyone he met.
If you knew david, you have loads of memories to share or maybe one experience that left an imprint on your life. He sure did make his presence known.
He grew up as an amazing brother to Liz and I. And shortly after is 18th b day he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served in Iraq for two tours. Traveled to Okinawa Japan, trained platoons in South America and came back to finish out his reenlistment in Camp Legeune, North Carolina. He ranked expert in Rifle qualification and scored the highest 7 years in a row. Recently, he bought his beautiful home in Oklahoma and made ever lasting friendships.
Each one of us can share the greatest memories of him and how he made our lives a little more happier, more silly, or more fun.
Now, here we are, deeply saddened by the unfortunate event of his suicide.
Again, anything is greatly appreciated, even a simple prayer.
