UPDATE:
Thank you everyone for your donations, cards, and kind words. The family is deeply grateful for all of our friends and family who've supported us in our time of need. David's final arrangements have been completely taken care of... it truly takes a village. Please keep us in your thoughts.
As many may have heard, my brother David (Gildog) Giliberto unexpectedly passed away on January 8th. He was only 46 years old. David was a source of strength and good humor for all who knew him.
Dave was wheelchair bound for the last 11 years. Due to his traumatic injury, he was uninsurable. The family is asking that everyone whose life he touched consider donating to his final expenses. We are hoping to raise the $4000 necessary for his cremation and for his remains to be brought back home to his family in Pennsylvania.
If you can help, we would deeply appreciate it.
David Anthony Giliberto Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Anthony Giliberto, 46, of Meadville, who left us tragically on January 8, 2025, at University Hospital Portage in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on November 5, 1978, David was a beloved son, father, and friend who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
David was a proud graduate of Saegertown High School, Class of 1996, and spent many years working as a machine operator at Ainsworth Pet Nutrition before an accident changed his life. He faced every challenge with resilience and a sense of humor that never wavered, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him. He was a dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene and found joy in a variety of activities. Whether he was shooting pool, singing karaoke, or watching his favorite Detroit Lions, he embraced life with passion. He also loved hunting, fishing, and keeping up with college football, not to mention his enthusiasm for fantasy football, where he always tried to outsmart his friends.
David is survived by his mother, Vicki Ann Heim, and stepfather, Bruce Heim, of Saegertown; his children, Keagan and Nahtanah Giliberto; his special friend, Beth Stahlman, and her companion, Doug; siblings, Krys Baker-Wallace and her husband, John, and Phillip Giliberto and his wife, Sarah; a nephew, Evan; three nieces, Allie, Kathy, and Kayla; and a dear friend, Brian Raybuck and his wife Melissa, who was like a brother to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Anthony Giliberto, and his uncle, Ronald Riordan.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date, and we invite all who knew him to join us in honoring the wonderful person he was. Further details will be shared soon. Please remember David fondly in your hearts as we gather to celebrate his life and the many memories we shared.
Please take a moment to share a memory or condolence with the family on David's Book of Memories online at www.WarrenFH.com
