Our names are David and Michele Downs. We've been married for 10 years and together for 15 total(We met in college).

We've dreamed of starting a family for many years, but unfortunately it has not happened for us naturally.

In November 2021, Michele was diagnosed with pre-cancerous cells in her uterus - terrifying as her mom died of uterine cancer 4 years earlier.

We promised eachother at the start of her treatments that if she beat it and was still able to have children, we would finally make the financial sacrifice to pursue IVF.

In June 2022 God smiled on us and Michele was declared cancer free and still technically able to have children.

So we met with doctors at RMA Los Angles, underwent many tests and were cleared to pursue IVF treatments!

Now the hard part: The costs of the treatments are significant at $25,000.

We planned to just finance it all ourselves, but we have a few friends and family that suggested we do a gofundme to raise as much of that as possible through charitable donations.

So here we are. Truly ANYTHING helps. We are not anticipating raising the full 25k via this gofund me and we will finance the remainder, whatever amount it is, through a private loan.

We realize times are extremely tough, but anything at all, no matter how little, will help us greatly.
