In the very early hours of Thursday(April 5) morning, after working late, Dave was struck with a brain aneuryrism right after going to bed.  Dave passed on the next day.  Even in death, Dave continued to be giving, being an organ donor for 5 very lucky individuals.

Dave leaves behind his wife Edna, who has been together with Dave since she was 19.   

Dave had decided against having a funeral, and will be cremated and have his urn buried with his Grandmother in Calgary.  

With the tragedy taking place in the apartment, its no longer a place where Edna feels she can live, and the landlord has allowed her to break her lease early, and she is going to be moving in with family.   Dave was the breadwinner of the family and so  I thought I'd put together a  gofundme to help Edna out with the costs associated with Dave's passing and the changes she has coming ahead.  I think money would be more useful than flowers at the moment. If you would like to donate to help with Dave's unexpected passing in this difficult time for Edna, any support is appreciated. 

Dave was always incredibly generous with his time, working late nights and weekends to help out so many people around the world with their equipment, it'd be great if you could help out here.
