Support Dave's bid for World Title
Donation protected
Charleston kayak fisherman Dave Jaskiewicz ("DJ") has been named to the US team to compete in Shanghai, China next month in the 5th Annual World Kayak Fishing Championships (held at Shang Lake, a 3,000 year old ancient village) and we're asking for your help. Dave will be one of 47 international fishermen (from 20 countries, covering four continents) competing for the world title.
The tournament will be held from Nov. 9-16, 2015 in Shang Lake, so we are hoping to raise the funds by Saturday, October 31, 2015.
Unfortunately, there's no funding available from the U.S. Olympic Committee, or similar organizations, so we are reaching out to friends and family, along with fishing enthusiasts, to support his bid. The funds would be used to cover his costs for equipment (essential, to compete on a level playing field), transportation, lodging and meals.
If you can possibly donate $10, $20 or $25, and we can reach our goal, Dave will be able to compete next month, in hopes of earning the title of World Champion.
Thank you so much.
