Running for a Reason!
At Dave's Pizza Garage, we are always seeking ways to build relationships with the community. Recently, we hired a young lady named Elley. She is AMAZING! Each shift, she comes in excited and ready to work. She completes tasks and does them very well! She's uplifting and fun to be around in the kitchen. We're proud to have her as part of our team!
Elley has down syndrome. But that doesn't slow her down one bit. Unfortunately, there are not a ton of places for Elley to get plugged in to make new friends. Genesis Church in Tallahassee has an awesome ministry catering specifically to those with special needs in our community. Dave's Pizza Garage is proud to team up with Genesis Church where their mission is to love the Special Needs Community in Tallahassee.
Our goal is to raise money for their outreach program and support families and teach their children/young adults who have mental, emotional and physical special needs.
How does it work? Dave will be running in the Disney Princess 10K on Saturday, Feb 25th 2017.
Dave does not like running unless he's chasing after something like a ball. Racing to the finish line to raise money for Elley and Genesis Church's Special Needs Outreach programs seemed like a most excellent ball to be chasing!
Deadline is February 14th, 2017-- Valentines Day. So show some love and click to donate!
The money raised will be donated to Genesis Church to be specifically used for their Special Needs Programs.
To make it even more exciting, Dave will be dressing up as a Disney princess to complete the run! Stay tuned to see which one is selected and see pictures of Princess Dave!!
