Life is so fragile. I know everyone “knows” this, but I pray you don’t get a reminder like we did Saturday afternoon... For those that don’t know, my brother was T-Boned on his motorcycle four days ago by an SUV that did not stop a stop sign. This major accident resulted in Halo Flight rushing him to the nearest trauma hospital where he had emergency surgery to save his right leg. He broke his femur and his tibia plateau, and he lost a significant amount of blood that night. It’s been a nightmare seeing his oxygen, heart rate, hgb, BP, CK levels, (and other terms I don’t understand) go in opposite directions of what we wanted to see them go. He is now scheduled to have a heart surgery on his aortic dissection that was torn during the impact from the collision. Thankfully, I know my brother’s health, strength, helmet, and his guardian angel son, JD, all played a part in saving his life. He is the strongest man I know, and I know he will push through the pain and make a full recovery. I know it in my heart. However, he does have an incredibly long road to recovery ahead of him. Aside from worrying about his life, I’m also worried about his “life” (outside of his body). They recently bought a new home, he’s just a few months away from getting his next degree, he was one week into his first client to physically train on the side, and of course has a full time job to support his wife and two daughters that he now can’t physically do for a significant amount of time. I started a go fund me account on his behalf to help with the bills and living expenses that unfortunately don’t go on bed rest with him. Your thoughts, prayers, calls, texts, visits and donations are welcomed and very appreciated. I’ve been reminded of the benefits of small town living. The support I’ve seen my brother get these last few days is overwhelming to my heart. If you are reading this and you don’t know my brother but want to pray for him, his name is Dave Ferron. He has a supporting and loving wife, Renee, and two daughters, Sadie (10) and Daisy (8). Thank you for your time in reading this about him, and please, always pay attention when you are driving.
