Bus Update – It’s Time! Going for a Paid Driver!

 Hi All,

Onto something huge: The Melbourne Youth Bus. This has been my passion project for 15 years, and we’ve finally got some serious momentum happening in Brimbank.

• New volunteers onboard! One driver secured + another volunteer just found four more volunteer drivers!

• Council is stepping up! The freakin’ Councillors are volunteering on the bus!

• Community backing is growing, especially with the Sudanese African community, church groups, and sports clubs.

BUT—the biggest challenge is that our only other driver, Steve, just moved to Darwin.

While we’ve found a volunteer, I’ve always felt we need a paid driver who can commit to multiple nights a week. Without that consistency, at-risk youth don’t know when or where we’ll be. When the bus runs regularly, it literally changes lives—family court judges have told me so, and I’ve seen it firsthand.

So, I’m pulling the trigger on a $50,000 fundraiser to hire a paid driver by June. If you want to chip in, or know someone who might, every bit helps!

100% of donations go through the charity (I don’t touch a cent), and I’ll personally thank everyone who jumps in.
