Hi my name is Angela Adams. My husband David had a heart transplant on May 3rd 2021. He is on 13 different medications,4 of them are rejection medications. Since Dave had his heart transplant he doesnt have an immune system. Last Wednesday he became really sick. I went with him to.a walk in clinic on Thursday. The Dr said to Dave he has the new strain of Covid-19. He was told due to his rejection medicine tacrolomus he cant take paxlovid. He got a prescription for Lagevrio(molunipiravir). Dr's took forever to prescribe it. The medication is 1,200.00 without insurance. With insurance coverage(medicare) the cost is 450.00. With the cost of Daves monthly meds, cost of daily living I cant cover the cost of this new anti viral medicine.
