Dave's Bowling Tournament

Donation protected
Dave is a 14 year old boy living with autism.  He has many interests.  Bowling is his favourite.  His parents are single income as Dave was not successful in public school. He has been homeschooled since grade 2.

When Dave's dad would take him on his weekly trip to the bowling alley, the people at the center were amazed at his passion and his love for the sport.  The workers at Splitsville Entertainment Center in Nanaimo (http://www.splitsville.ca/locations/nanaimo-bowling/)saw him every week ( thanks in large part to http://www.kidsbowlfree.com ) they would say " Wow he's really good he should join the league".  Being very supportive but not well off, his parents made it happen.

He thrived,  he made friends, and with a little instruction and practice he got better... a lot better.

The coaches said " Hey he should go into tournaments!"
His parents again made it happen.  The tournaments had large crowds which was challenging for him.  But in the end he got better and better.

As he got better and his confidence grew he ended up qualifying for a Provincial Tournament in Kelowna with BC bowling...http://bowlbc.com

Well much to the suprise and delight of his Parents and his Autism team he won...GOLD.

Dave has qualified for the NATIONAL Championships in Kelowna.

Only problem...his parents struggle with the unforseen costs associated with his win... missed work...Training camps...Entry Fees..and Travel to and from the tournament and its 2 mandatory training camps on the mainland on BC Ferries,  as well as a bowling ball of his own....(he won the provincial gold with a house ball from Splitsville)

Here is a video of Dave accepting his gold medal...

The funds will be used for travel and to help with Dave's parents costs associated with the tournament and missing time off of work for the Family...

Thanks for the support !
