A close friend of ours recently lost his mother. She was the primary income for the two of them, other than him being paid as her primary caregiver. In which that stopped as soon as she was put in the hospital this past time. We would like to try and help him get back on his feet and stay above water as he will now be looking for a new job, and having to pay expenses left behind, and to help him get a strong footing as he begins this next chapter of his life without her. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward easing these burdens.

Terri Jean Martin was truly an amazing woman. She was strong, adventurous, and full of determination. Throughout her life, she traveled far and wide—from Poland to places all over the valley and beyond—always leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.

Terri faced more than her fair share of battles, but she never let them define her. In her thirties, she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s lymphoma, yet she continued to raise her son with love and strength. Years later, she was diagnosed with a rare cancer and fought it with everything she had, even through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. With her son by her side, caring for her every step of the way, she overcame that fight.

Sadly, Terri was later diagnosed with another form of cancer. As strong and resilient as she was, this final fight took more energy than she had left to give. Even so, she never lost her positivity, willpower, or dedication to the goals she set for herself.

Terri’s strength, love, and courage touched everyone who knew her. She fought every challenge with an iron heart and soul, and her story is one of resilience and love.
