Memorial Bench for Dave Kirk
The arts community in Montana lost a dear friend and advocate, very suddenly on November 19th 2015.
Dave Kirk and his remarkable gallery in Willow Creek, Aunt Dofe's Hall of Recent Memory provided ample support for emerging and established artists. Another remarkable gift that he gave to us was being 'the glue' in our community. Honestly gifted at meeting each individual where they were at. Every single one of us has a unique relationship and "Dave Moment" to recall.
Dave was the invisible support along the path.
My 9 year old son Coby, who was also close friends with Dave, asked if I thought we could arrange to have a bench for Dave Kirk. I think it is a wonderful idea and his family asked that I help make it happen.
The bench will have a plaque that will say, "In memory of Dave Kirk. He built things."
A place of support on the path, a start and a stop.
We need your help, too.
The funds raised will support the associated costs for this project. Any funds raised in excess of what is necessary will be allocated to the family so that they can maintain the gallery in Willow Creek.
Thank you for your consideration. This project has a lot of meaning for Dave's family as well my own. Our hope is that this will be a marker that is meaningful for you, too.
