Medical Fund for Dave and Son

This is Dave, a single father, and his son Lucas. Dave is a devoted and dedicated father, who has worked his construction jobs around Lucas' special needs schooling and medical needs, which dramatically affected his income potential. Due to Dave's love and devotion, Lucas is now in middle school and doing well, considering the challenges he faces.

Dave is a skilled mason and craftsman who, for many years, has helped with numerous projects at our house and our friends' houses. He is one of the hardest working individuals we have ever known.

Dave been struggling with difficult and serious neurological symptoms for two years, which have only just been diagnosed as ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), a rapidly debilitating and fatal (within 3 to 5 years from onset) neurological disease.

This heartbreaking news comes as Dave was finally getting back to work after suffering a serious work-related injury which had incapacitated him for several months.

It is our hope, in setting up this fund, to help provide a safety net for them once Dave can no longer work and for Lucas once Dave is no longer with us.
