DAVE WUKAWITZ developed a sore on his left foot which became infected, eventually healed, then it came back and he became so ill, he thought he had the flu. As it turned out the sore on his left foot turned Sepsis and on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 doctors had to amputate his left foot, with the potential need to take it all the way up to his left knee. To complicate matters, Dave is suspected to also be diabetic. Capt'n Dave is a fighter, he's strong, and all things considered he is in good spirits for what he's been through and what lies ahead of him. Dave is currently hospitalized in Hollywood, Florida, under the watchful eyes of two of his great friends, Bonnie Montgomery and Cindy Martin, who with the help of others are doing their best to tend to his every need. Unfortunately, Dave doesn't have health insurance and this is going to be a bit more than your average setback. This fund has been set up to help pay for not just the obvious which are Dave's hospital bills, but also his every day bills, physical therapy, and also a prosthesis to enable Dave to continue his life and career as a Sea Captain, just as soon as he recovers and is able to climb back on the bridge. Dave has a long road ahead of him, so Please join me in supporting him and open up your heart and wallets, so we can help make that road to recovery as short and as quick as possible. But above all else, keep Dave in your prayers daily for physical, emotional and mental healing as he sets out on this road to recovery. Thank you all in advance and God Bless! God Bless You Dave!
