Dave Wielinski Fights Cancer
Donation protected

On November 9th, 2020, Dave Wielinski and his family received news that no person on this earth wants to hear about someone they love.
It started back in October when Dave went to the doctor for a bad cough and he was told he had pneumonia. He was treated with multiple antibiotics and spent a night in the hospital. He didn't feel better and the cough didn't go away over the next few weeks. The doctors tried prescribing steroids, but that didn't work either. On November 2nd, Dave went in for another chest xray and was told the pneumonia was worse, so he started two more antibiotics. By Friday, November 6th, he wasn't any better, so his doctor had him admitted to the hospital.
Friday night at the hospital they did a CT scan, which needed to be followed by a bronchoscopy, biopsy, and MRI over the weekend.
What they've found is that he has lung cancer that has spread into multiple parts of his body (Stage 4). There are more tests being done and he has an upcoming appointment with a pulmonary oncologist next to determine what treatments he can do.
Dave is currently home and is happy to be able to rest at home with his family while they wait for next steps. This fundraiser is to help the Wielinski family by providing monetary support as needed to offset the cost of high medical expenses and any loss of income. Dave's wife, Amy, runs a small jewelry business that has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Wielinski family was already dealing with the loss of one source of income prior to Dave's diagnosis.

Dave is undoubtedly a genuine, kind, and caring individual and he always puts other people before himself. As one of his neighbors, I've seen him jump at opportunities to help others in need over the last decade....no questions asked! This fundraiser is to give everyone who's experienced Dave's kindness an opportunity to return the favor. He is SO devoted to his children, Kale (16) and Kiki (13), making sure they get to all their extracurricular activities, organizing hangouts with friends, or taking them to their favorite restaurants.

He is also a very devoted husband to Amy and holds Jesus close to his heart. He appreciates any messages and prayers from people through this very difficult time.
Please consider donating any amount of money to help this amazing family. All proceeds will go to Dave and Amy Wielinski.
