Hi, my name is Shane Gillespie, I work at Heyrod Construction and I'm trying to raise some money to help Dave's family at this devastating time.

Sadly, Dave (Wardy) passed away on Friday 19th of January 2024 aged 45 after a short battle with cancer and a bout of pneumonia.

Wardy was well liked on site, with many friends up and down the country through his time working in construction, which is a testament to his character.

He worked at Heyrod Construction for 14 years (2007 - 2021) starting at Peasley Cross hospital in St Helens in 2007 and finishing on Paddington Village in Liverpool in 2021. He started out as a labourer and finished up as a labourer supervisor, with different roles as cube man, store man, slinger/signaller in between.

He left Heyrod and went to work at Hinckley point C power station for BYLOR as a slinger/signaller up until 2023.

Wardy leaves behind his beloved four children (aged 9, 14, 16 & 24), so any money raised will go towards helping the family raise them without their father.
