To the news media, he was the first COVID-19 death in Northwestern Ontario.
To his family he was 52 yr old Dave Tschirch, husband of Rhonda, father of James, Jake and Emily, grandfather of David, a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin.
Dave was an amazing man who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Two years ago
Dave was diagnosed with leukaemia. A devastating diagnosis, he persevered without any real complications from the disease.
On April 4, Dave was brought to the hospital suffering from pneumonia. The grim diagnosis was COVID-19.
His condition deteriorated throughout the following weeks and he fought so hard to stay but sadly lost that fight on April 23.
His family is devastated and the grieving process made that much more difficult during this continuing pandemic that took Dave’s life.
We are asking the community to contribute toward the future of Dave’s family.
