Dave & Sarah Custer & Family

For those who don’t know, Dave is the owner of Fiery Furnace Forge. With permission from Dave, I am setting up this fundraiser to help them with expenses they will be incurring with Sarah’s recent diagnosis.

Here is their story from Dave:

“Hi folks:

Long story short my wife Sarah and I have been in the hospital since Tuesday evening of this week.

She is currently diagnosed with stage 3/4 non-small-cell-cancer. It is restricting all air flow to one lung and partially to the second.

She is undergoing a procedure tomorrow (saturday) morning to open the airways and get a sample for biopsy.

She is 31 with previously no known health issues.

She is currently 29 weeks along with our third child.

We are not the first to go through this, and we won’t be the last. I know people on my friends list personally who have been or are going through their own trials.

Please keep us in your prayers as we move forward with life, and pray for the doctors and nurses who do the work and our own decision making through this time.”

Dave has been a great asset to the blacksmithing community and many including myself have benefited from his great products. He is also welcoming any and all tool orders as his family is giving them enough help to fill them! Let’s help them out as much as humanly (and financially) possible and show the world how amazing our blacksmithing community is! Donations are accepted past the set amount and I hope we can blow it out of the water for them!
