Hi my name is Megan Santos, as all of you may know, my dad has been fighting cancer for the last 3 1/2 years. It seemed like he was in remission for 5 months. This last weekend he started having visions problems in his left eye. My mom called the doctor and they told us to bring him to the hospital. They did a CAT scan of his brain and found there was a growth on the front left side of his brain which was pushing on his optic nerve. They did an MRI and drew spinal fluid, which took a day for results. His doctor came in today and told us that he needs to get Hyper Dose Methotrexate to attack the tumor. The doctors are also giving him steroids to reduce the swelling in his brain. Dad is on a private disability plan which does not fully cover his monthly expenses.
