Dave Rosa

My dad, Dave Rosa, passed away on July 18, 2023. Dave went in for an outpatient laparoscopic procedure on May 31, 2023 where the doctor(s) were to go in and remove part of his colon due to him having colon cancer. This surgery quickly turned into a 7 hour long procedure where they had to cut his abdomen open.

After this procedure, Dave went into septic shock due to the infection and bacteria that got into his blood from the procedure. Dave would go on to have 13 procedures total including abdominal cleanings to try and clean out the infection and inserting multiple tracheotomy’s. All while having dialysis due to being in complete kidney failure caused by the sepsis. Eventually Dave’s body rejected the dialysis and he went into multiple organ failure. At this time the family was told he would never come off life support and he could not live without the dialysis his body rejected.

Dave leaves behind his significant other of 15 years, 2 daughters, 1 step daughter, and 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. His death has left his family heartbroken.
