Dave Rempel and family

As many of you know Dave suffered a massive stroke while at the CrossFit games on August 4th. I would like to share that this was Dave’s dream and had his eyes set on it for 11 years. He has fought through so much and has never once complained or given a hint of wanting to quit through the process. He faced many challenges the 5 weeks leading to the games and there was a potential he may not of been able to go(not related to what happened) it was something that could have ended his dreams to compete in the CrossFit games but he didn’t let it! He fought through the adversity with sheer determination. Will share more on that story down the road.

Dave is getting the best care he can down in Madison Wisconsin. However, they were told yesterday from insurance company that from here forward they determine whether or not things are necessary and Nicky wants the opportunity to not have to say no to extra medical interventions in the US if necessary and these interventions can come at a very high cost. They also don’t know yet if it will be necessary to be in a larger Center with the medical support that he may potentially need when arriving home as they live in a smaller city…..so many unknowns right now. Dave, his wife Nicky and three beautiful daughters would like to note that they are so thankful to have the CrossFit games help with living and travel expenses, they truly have gone above and beyond.
