DAVE PATRICK UNDERWOOD BASKETBALL COURT FUND

It saddens our heart to reflect back on May 29, 2020 when we lost a valued HERO of our community. Dave Patrick Underwood an active member of our community, federal officer who pride himself on protecting others as well as a dear friend to many was fatality shot & killed in a senseless shooting in Oakland CA., while on duty during a George Floyd protest. 

The news of Patrick’s death stunned the entire Bay Area communities. Patrick loved basketball as well as baseball, but mostly he loved his cars. 

Patrick died with DIGNITY & HONOR!  Patrick was an amazing man who was killed doing what he loved and that was protecting his community and others. Patrick was a HERO to many! 

This fund is being set up to aide in the reconstruction of the basketball court in Patrick’s honor at Fernandez Park in Pinole California, where he grew up and spent most of his childhood.  This basketball court will be in remembrance of Patrick and what he loved (basketball) and how he lost his life protecting his community.

For most of you that don't know me, my name is George Phillips I’ve known Patrick for over 40 years.   Patrick was like a brother to me and it is our HONOR on behalf of Patrick to set up this fundraiser for such an amazing man who died protecting his community.  All proceeds will go to the project & reconstruction of the basketball court to have Patrick photo and signature on the basketball court at Fernandez Park in Pinole California honoring Patrick.
