Recently their life has been completely challenged with an unexpected situation. Dave is diabetic, and the their worst nightmare has become a reality. Dave went into the hospital on Jan. 18, 2018 with a cut on his foot that developed sepsis. This situation was life threatening and excruciatingly painful. After a very long weekend of trying to get the sepsis under control, and 3 different sugeries, Dave's medical team made the decision that amputation was necessary. On January 24th the amputation happened. They amputated mid of his shin. The emotional effects have been heavy on Dave and Jenny, and the time off work is not covered.
