Dave (Papa) Hague

It is with a heavy heart I'm setting up this page on behalf of my auntie & cousins who have just lost their Dad, Dave.

Dave was a beautiful, caring and bubbly soul, he spent his life passionately teaching young minds and was adored by everyone he connected with.

Dave recently found out he had late stage cancer, heartbreakingly Dave died suddenly, shortly after his diagnosis. This has meant financially the family are struggling to come up with the funds to cover both a funeral and travel costs to attend and say their goodbyes. As we can all relate, a time like this is hard enough managing such a great loss in their lives without adding fears of being unable to afford to give Dave a deserving goodbye and for them to be there to do this.

We are asking for generosity & kindness from anyone able to help, big or small your donations will considerably help a grieving family on their journey of loss and healing. I don't have the words to express how appreciative of this help we would be and thank any of you in advance for your kindness. I know the family don’t expect this of anyone and appreciates your support through such a heartbreaking time.

The funds we are trying to raise will cover immediate flights home and the funeral its self. We estimate the last minute flights from New Zealand to the UK will average around £2000 each and UK funeral costs will be around £7,000. Therefore we are wanting to raise as much of this as possible. After the expenses mentioned, his 3 daughters have expressed their wishes for anything that may be left over to be donated to Cancer Research and Alcoholics Anonymous - in honour of his 13 years of sobriety.
