Dave Notch Memorial Fund
It is with a heavy heart to let you all know about the loss of Dave Notch. For those of you who knew Dave, then you knew how infectious his jolly mood and humor was to be around. He made everyone smile! For those of us who have known Dave and his family for a long time, I'm sure you can remember the infamous annual Christmas party at their house! I have warm memories around the holidays attending the Notch Christmas parties with all the nurses and doctors from Baywood and Gateway. It was always something I looked forward to every year.
In recent years, Dave has struggled with his health and personal issues that many of us were taken by surprise with. I had hoped he would find his way back, but now we will never know, because his journey on this earth ended on 8/30/21 after he was struck by a vehicle late at night while riding in a golf cart. He passed away on the scene.
Dave's ex-wife, Lisa, was always there for him, even as he struggled through his own life challenges. She has cared for their 3 children and has worked so very hard to support the family during these past few years. If you know Lisa Notch, then you know, that like Dave, she has the biggest heart and is always helping and making others laugh and smile.
Dave's death was unexpected, but we know that he is no longer suffering. Lisa is doing her best in coordinating funeral costs, arrangements, and will soon be traveling back to Ohio to lay Dave to rest. My heart goes out to Lisa and their children, Victoria, Lizzy, and David.
To make things easier for Lisa and her children, so that they can grieve and lay Dave to rest in Ohio, I am asking you to please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.
With love,
Jen Withee
