Hey everyone, my name is Kalli. Daughter of Dave and Paula. I wasn't going to create this because we are not a family to ask for help. But with the circumstances I want to help my parents out as much as I can.

This past Saturday at Illinois City days my parents were involved in a side by side accident. They were both banged up and taken to Rock Island hospital by ambulance. What we were thinking was just gonna be a few stitches turned into more, much more. My mom, Paula, ended up with several stitches by her eye and a broken nose. My dad, David, ended up with the worse of the injuries. Suffering a broken neck, his C6, a broken T4 vertebrae, and a fractured mandible. He was then transported down to OSF Peoria, where he would get better care. MRI showed his neck injury is worse than they thought. They said hes lucky to have feeling/movement. So he is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday Aug 17th. But there is always the news from the doctors and nurses no one wants to hear. He will also be getting surgery on his jaw, TBD, following shortly after his neck surgery. He may get the 3D plate or has to get his mouth wired shut. Since Saturday my mom, my sister Sara, and I have been staying in hotels and have had to make several trips back and forth. We are unsure on how much longer my dad, Dave, will be in the hospital. Could be a week could be 3 weeks. Following these injuries he is going to have LOTS of rehab. Please do not feel obligated to donate. The medical bills, hotel stays, gas, food, necessities, etc, are all adding up very quickly so anything would help and is greatly appreciated or just Keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming.
