Dave Needs Your Help: Waiting for SS Income
Donation protected
Hi Friends,
I find myself having to ask for help as I am awaiting to hear from Social Security, for which I applied last month when I turned 62. They are reviewing my application, but I have not heard when it will start or how much exactly the amount will be. In the meantime, I have run out of copyediting work and will not get paid for another small project until next month. My state food aid was also cut by about half due to my income tax, even though I only made poverty-level wages for 2023. So, for now, I am having to spend more cash for food per month. (This may all change when I actually start collecting SS.) Of course, I worry about our current administration and their propensity to help only the richest among us. (Of course I did not vote for this.)
Anyway, I am doing another campaign for a total of $1,200 to keep me going until I get my SS income in the next month or two, in addition to hopefully some other intermittent part-time income doing remote copyediting work. Any small donation will help. Also, please share this campaign with anyone who might be able to help.
Thank you very much!
