Update: We have sad news to share.  Andrea, Christy, Joe, Larry and other friends and family close to Dave Nichols said goodbye to his earthside body today at the ICU.  Unfortunately he was not able to recover from his health problems and based on all of the medical information he has not been here with us since the cardiac event a week ago.  He never regained consciousness or intentional response.  His doctors and a 2nd and 3rd opinion have confirmed that he had a zero chance of a meaningful recovery after today.  As per his wishes, his final gift to this world is through organ donation.  

We are remembering Dave today by sharing so many great memories, as hard as it to do.  I believe that you only truly die when no one carries on your stories.  In that sense Dave will be here as long as I breathe.  

After you have shared some Dave stories please take a moment to support Andrea and his family and friends.  Dave was a caretaker and a builder and he wouldn’t want us to neglect each other. We will be raising funds for a memorial as well now.

 Hello, my name is Paul, and I've been friends with Dave for over 20 years. On February 10th, David had a cardiac event, and his heart stopped in Tualatin, Oregon, just after lunch at a work site. Since then, he has been fighting for his life at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. Dave is in an induced coma on a ventilator and has been mostly unresponsive while his friends and family rally around his side to support him in recovering his health.

 

While he's unable to work, we wanted to keep up with his financial commitments for him, so I am sharing his story in the hopes that the people who love David can help offer some support in this way. David's friends and family are asking for people to pitch in financially so that Dave's bills can be covered while he's fighting for his life.

 

Funds received would help cover paying Dave's employee Patrick, helping to make his rent payments, and covering the utilities on the homefront during his stay at Legacy Meridian. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Updated: funds raised now will go toward these expenses as well toward helping his family cover memorial expenses.
