Dave need our help …

Hey there, my name is April and I am a long time friend ofDavids, I am reaching out and starting this fundraiser due to a tragedy that took place this last week in the mouring area right outside Santa barbara harbor, the last year has been extremely tough on Dave do to covid, recently Dave was informed by his landlord that she was looking into converting her units into airbnb rentals, and that she needed to remodel the unit, so Dave had made the decision to save some money and to move onto the boat for the next couple months,till the end of summer, Santa Barbara's harbor has guidelines to the cost to keep a boat in the harbor for all commercial boats, they are required to provide a landing receipt every week in order to keep a lower daily rate, with weather being bad consistently keeping the black cod fleet from fishing, they became victim to extreme cost increases, Dave went from $30

a day to paying $95 a day, so a way of reseting his $30 rate Dave had to vacate his slip for 5 days and move his boat out to the mouring area, just outside the harbor, and when returning he would be given a new 2 week grace period of not having to provide fish tickets,so Dave is now living on the boat a week, when he gets up,that morning leaves for work, Dave decides later that morning that he will work late and just stay on the job that night, so he returns to the boat to grab fresh clothes for the next day and the boat seems to be fine

Later that following morning, Dave recieves a call from the harbor patrol stating that his boat has sunk he needed to come Immediately,

David had to return o port from his last fishing trip due to mechanical issues on one of his engines So in the days he was outside the Harbor on worrying he had been working on the boat...... David arrives to the Harbor to find His boat had capsized and he had lost everything on board.... Clothes, tools, generator, wallet, as well as all the electronics, engines,

In the years of knowing Dave And seen him with that boat, He would work 7 days a week 12 to14 hour days Whether it be fixing something on the boat Or just improving it...... His whole life was that boat, Dave did contracting on the side... But when not working construction every waking hour was on that boat practically.

I just know from personal experience that if someone was in need, Dave always offered to help, and was there... this boat has thrown some real obstacles in his way over the years but when people would have thought well he gave it a good shot and thought he was done, Dave put his head down and pulled thru, this is Daves life, and I as a dear friend can't stand by and watch this end like this.

.. so I am reaching out to anyone who has come across Dave in there journeys or his friends of old and friends of new and help get his life back.... it's going to take alot but I know it can be accomplished.... and screw you Dave, I put your business out there....

Please help if you can he really needs it and is to proud himself to ask...
