Hi im Dave and I'm a paraplegic, I'm 60 years old this year and 41 years post injury, as you may imagine moving ones old body with ones arms can tend to wear parts out... doing my daily routine a few weeks back I transferred into my chair and my right bicep detached and I tore my superspinatus... What this means is I cannot transfer or move my body without assistance any longer.

I'm raising money because need to pay caregivers to help me get in and out of my chair, bed, toilet and dressed daily for the next 8-12 weeks followed by a stint in rehab retraining to move independently again.

As most of you know this isn't my first fundraiser and know I don't ask lightly, but my other option is a nursing home and if you know me well that's simply not an option. so please, if you are inclined to help me heal please do so by donating or promoting this fundraiser.

I hope to fully recover and return to being a contributing and helpful member of my community again soon.
