A special thanks to those who were there when this happened and responded so quickly.
Our Dad loved his job as a sandblaster/painter and even though it took him away from us for weeks at a time, it was where he was the happiest.
We truly believe that. Unfortunately on the afternoon of March 21, 2018 he died doing what he loved and suffered a massive heart attack and left everyone saddened and in shock.
Many of you have asked if there is some way you can help and some of you have offered to put a collection together to help cover funeral expenses. This would be a God send to us at this time.
The union, of course, is helping with the funeral costs, but the remaining bill is large and a surprise burden for the family. Especially while dealing with all of the other harsh realties of a life without our dad, husband, grandfather and friend.
Our dad was a one of a kind man with a heart of gold and the kindest soul. His stories will live on forever, he had the best stories!
Whether you contribute to this campaign or not, we hope you can come share your stories of our dad on Thursday 29 March at 2pm at Connelly McKinley Funeral Homes, St. Albert Chapel (St. Albert Funeral Home). 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.
