It's not much of a secret anymore. Dave is fighting cancer once again. And the new chemo treatment they have him on did a number last week. Dave has been hospitalized since Friday, fighting kidney failure and undergoing dialysis.
Dave has been on disability for a long time thanks to his numerous bouts with cancer and a stroke. Heater is the sole provider at this point. And the medical bills are stacking up fast....again.
If you're a racer, you know these two. They're the best. Dave is a smart ass, and a stubborn SOB sometimes. But that's why we love him. He will bust your balls, then grab a wrench and help you get it figured out. Heather is everyone's friend.....I mean, literally. She knows everyone. It's insane. You can't do that if you suck. They don't suck.
The racing community has lost far too many friends recently, and we all know the added stress medical bills bring is not healthy. Let's give these two one less thing to worry about.
