Dave Getz recovery fund

On Sunday, March 6th Dave Getz suffered a severe fall down the hill outside of his house in Fairfax, which resulted in 13 fractured ribs, a collapsed lung and several stitches in his arm. Although we are grateful that his injuries were not worse, he remains in the hospital and will soon go to an outpatient facility to begin physical therapy. We are optimistic that Dave will make a full recovery and be able to play his drums again, but in his own words, “it’s going to be a long road!”

Many people have asked me how they can help. I think the most practical way is to donate money to his GoFundMe campaign, which will help offset the loss of work and a multitude of other expenses related to these most unfortunate circumstances! Dave and his wife Joan have been very moved by the outpouring of love and kind messages, and we thank you in advance for your support and help with spreading this campaign far and wide as many hands make light work.

Dave  is home after his accident and over a month in the hospital and rehabilitation! The money contributed will go toward things like the cost of the ambulance, the cost of having to replace certain plumbing items to accommodate my new situation and if possible to repair the damage to the lift at my home from the accident itself. And finally, I don't know when I'll be able to gig again as a drummer and to have the physical strength to play in a live situation though I'm hoping that that will happen again.
