It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of Dave Edwards (67 years young) on Saturday, 2nd August, due to a heart attack. Dave was a much-loved husband, father, and friend to so many, and his loss has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.

Dave was known across the Central Coast as the “Handyman with a heart” — and a sharp sense of humour. Whether fixing a fence, doing an entire renovation of a property, sharing a laugh, or lending a hand, Dave brought warmth, kindness, and reliability to every interaction. His work with local real estate agencies and trades made him a familiar and trusted face in the community, and his presence will be deeply missed.

More than anything, Dave was a devoted family man. His sudden passing has left his family not only grieving but also facing significant financial strain. In this incredibly difficult time, we are asking for support to help cover the costs of Dave’s funeral and assist his family with immediate living expenses as they navigate life without him.

This fundraiser is organised by Kirsty du Preez and Rachel Denning on behalf of Dave’s family, with their full knowledge and consent. All funds raised will be donated to Dave’s wife Collette.
