Duda’s Family Farm

Hello, my name is Jim Bell. My wife Patty and I have lived in Fayette County for 45 years. We’ve never done a GoFundMe before, but recently we learned that Duda’s Family Farm has been forced to declare Chapter 12 Bankruptcy. COVID and the record inflation rates have been incredibly difficult on everyone, including farms. Having grown up on a farm, I know how hard it can be, physically and financially, so we’ve started this GoFundMe to help the Duda’s with the expenses associated with this kind of action. This GoFundMe has been approved by the Duda’s and their attorneys.

Duda’s has been a staple of Fayette and the surrounding counties for many years, and I’m certain there are many out there who have enjoyed the fruits of their labor. The following is the announcement they posted about their situation on March 21st. Please help save this wonderful family farm and community resource. No amount is too small, all donations will be gratefully appreciated!

”This is very hard to type and post! Unfortunately, our farm had to file for bankruptcy chapter 12. We are still going to be open and have roadside markets this 2023 season. We need your support though more than ever. To many things have happened to us over the past few years that have brought us to this bankruptcy. Covid, weather, severe animal damage, increase input cost( fuel, fertilizer, plastics, etc.) to grow crops to name a few. It’s a very scary and stressful time for our farm and our families. So many sleepless nights worrying how are we going to make ends meet. We are going to reorganize and hopefully be able to get out of this dilemma. We will open for the season in April. Again, please support our farm. We need your support now more than ever.”
