Whether you know Dave Dalton from Screaming Bloody Marys, Cell Block 5, or Die Laughing Records, you probably also know him as a friend or you are blessed with him as family...

Dave is a Sacramento transplant who grew up and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area most of his life. He is a self-made musician who enjoyed his own independent punk label, Die Laughing Records, for over three decades, before retiring it in 2021.

Towards the end of last year, Dave began feeling very tired and started experiencing some medical issues that led us down the path we are at now... Dave has been diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer.

We have begun meeting with members of Dave's cancer team, and they are working together to come up with a treatment plan. The doctors assure us this is treatable and survivable if he's ready to fight... WE are. He will be having a port installed for his chemo treatments, and we still need a PET scan to be sure of the spread. We are praying and holding onto our faith...

I will be taking time off work, as needed, to care for Dave. His medication coverage is outside of Kaiser, and we are expecting some new expenses from that. Overall, we are overwhelmed, emotional, and stretched a bit. We are hoping this fundraiser finds anyone who is able to help with these and other expenses as Dave goes forward with treatment and healing.
