Dave is a friend. Not just a friend to this writer, but to everyone he has touched in the community. It's easy to describe Dave. He's the guy who sets an example for everyone else. The one who works as hard as he can at everything he does. He's the guy with the good attitude and smile when everyone else sees dark clouds. The one everybody can depend on to do the right thing every time. He is also a super talented bass player and singer.  The thing is, after years of being a pillar to those around him, Dave could use our love and support now. Yesterday he had a heart attack, and was discovered to be 99% blocked. He is currently waiting his turn for an operating room for open heart surgery, still with the good attitude and infectious smile. Dave will be out of work for a while, and things like medical benefits are hard to come by in his industry. The medical bills combined with recovery time away from work will make things interesting for Dave and his family for a while. It would be great to see the community and beyond come together to make things a little less interesting. Let's help Dave and his family bear a little of this load.
