David Chambers

If you have ever met David Chambers, he left a mark on your heart. David is a kind-hearted, generous, humble, and talented man who has touched the life of many over his years as an artist, printing professional, and friend.

Many of you may know David as a talented professional. David's career began in the photographic industry in the 1990s at Pallas Photo, where he printed photos used for magazines and publications. His craft further developed during his years at Cies Sexton, where he did color photography prints and digital printing. From there, with a grant from the city, he furthered his formal training in prepress. While in school, he worked at Photobition (later, Qube Visual), where he worked on scanning. After a couple of years, he was able to take his Prepress skill set to EPS doublet creating mock up made films to screen printing and digital printing in various forms. Later, he spent several years at Reed Art (2017-23) and is currently working at Assist Art Services. He is also a talented photographer in his own right.

Unfortunately, David has been facing the battle of his lifetime fighting cancer. David was initially diagnosed with cancer in 2021 and fought with radiation and medications. All seemed well, until recently. In 2023, David started struggling with shoulder pain, which he initially thought was from an falling injury. However, in the process of going in for shoulder treatment, it was discovered that the cancer had returned and has spread into his bones. The pain is intense and he is currently undergoing treatment using radiation, steroids, and chemotherapy. As you can imagine, this is very taxing on him. While his job provides him insurance and financial security, in reality, the treatment will have its toll upon him. Our concerns are about his care when he is no longer able to work. Times have been difficult for everyone, but facing this health crisis with the fear of facing financial insecurity due to lost work and medical tolls is debilitating. As friends of David, we are hoping to help raise some money for these upcoming expenses. David would never ask for help, but would be the first to help a friend. Please donate if you can!
