‘Daughters of Ukraine’  – Ireland's Song for Ukraine
Supporting the Irish Red Cross, Ukraine Crisis Appeal

Our Hope

Our hope is to raise vital funds to help save the lives of Ukraine children and families and to create awareness about what is happening on the ground in Ukraine and how families and children are affected.

How we plan to achieve this

Through DONATIONS and by uniting Ireland’s singing voices

Ireland Sings for Ukraine -
As fundraising partners, already twenty choirs and singers throughout Ireland are sharing their voices by joining our campaign and singing their own rendition of ‘Daughters of Ukraine.’ Their generosity of time and talent will contribute overwhelmingly to our united efforts in supporting Ukraine and standing in solidarity. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Watch out for news of partnering choirs and singers!

‘Daughters of Ukraine’ written and performed by Irish band, Maisey and the Deep, to raise funds for the Irish Red Cross, Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

“We hope to raise vital funds for the Irish Red Cross to help displaced children and families of Ukraine and to save the lives of those trapped in the war torn region, who desperately and urgently need food and medical supplies," Maisey and the Deep.

‘Daughters of Ukraine’ is a tribute to the loss of the lives of children in Ukraine and focuses on one of the first children to lose their life. Seven year-old- girl, Alisa Hlans, who was tragically killed during a 'cluster bomb' strike on a school in Ukraine as her grandfather desperately tried to shield her from the blast.

Lead singer and mother of two, Maisey, was inspired to write this song as a tribute to all mothers and families whose children were the tragic victims of this cruel war.  ‘I don’t think there is any woman, mother or father who isn’t heartbroken for the Ukrainian families who are now in despair.

One child lost is one precious life too many.

Every child deserves the chance to live in peace.’

“The Irish Red Cross is grateful for the tremendous support of Maisey and the Deep.  We continue to provide urgent assistance to those caught up in the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine – with the country itself as well as in the surrounding region and here in Ireland. This support simply could not be done without the overwhelming generosity and empathy of so many people,” Charlie Lamson, Head of Fundraising, Irish Red Cross.

The song was written, produced and filmed in just five days and in association with renowned artists and music engineers, who worked voluntarily and relentlessly to ensure its fast release, given the urgency of funds needed.
